Accenture reports that, at the end of 2017, approximately 2,800 medical clinics were located in retail space in the United States, compared to only 351 in 2006. Additionally, according to a report by JLL (Chicago), the number of healthcare tenants has grown by 47% just during the last three years. At this rate, the current number of healthcare tenants in retail locations could nearly double by 2022.
