Is the Customer Always Right?

As this sign demonstrates, customers should be aware of the drawbacks inherent to their design preferences. Here we have a set of letters that incorporates a mirror-surface finish.

While the intent is to produce a sign with an elegant appearance, the reflective properties of this sign’s surface create a mottled effect which varies according to the viewing angle. This mottling disrupts visual continuity of the lettering, making the sign more difficult to read and also potentially creates annoying glare if the sign is exposed to direct sunlight.
